This month's bulletin is more of an informational piece if you don't supply or install head flashing for your projects. It describes one technique you can use to direct any incidental water behind the wall out to the surface. The new bulletin is available here.

Cleaning & Maintenance

This month’s bulletin is a reissue of our old Owner’s Responsibilities for Cleaning and Maintenance.  We’ve updated it and added links.   The new bulletin is available here.

New Applicator Certificate Area

Applicators wanting to renew or apply for certification now have a special area.  You can submit electronically or if you’d like print and fax in the forms.  The new area is here.

Distributor sponsorship is required.  Applicators must have a certificate to receive a warranty.

Wind Rated Assemblies

This month’s bulletin outlines Master Wall wind-rated assemblies.  Master Wall has conducted extensive testing on our products and systems.   The new bulletin is available here.

Fluid Applied Air and Water Barriers

This month’s bulletin outlines how to specify fluid applied barriers.  As an applicator or designer it’s important to note that “EIFS is Unique”, meaning we’re the only cladding system that can really be adhered to a fluid applied air/water barrier.  The trade off is that only a single manufacturer can be used.   The new bulletin is available here.

Smart Phone Tags

In the upper right hand corner of this bulletin is our new smart phone tag.  We will be phasing it into our data sheets and it will take you right to that section of our web site.  You can open it with any bar code app.

Reminder: Cold weather is here!  For those projects Quick Set MBB is available.  This bagged base coat sets up quicker than regular MBB and allows you to both adhere the insulation and base it quickly.

Shipping and Storage

We've revised our shipping and storage technical bulletin. This bulletin focuses on just the shipping and storage concerns during cold or hot weather. In previous bulletins we've discussed cooler weather application procedures, efflorescence concerns and dark colors. The new bulletin is available here. You can view all our bulletins here.

Hurricane Systems

Master Wall is pleased to announce the availability of our hurricane rated systems data sheet. This data sheet includes the majority of applications where Master Wall can be used. The data sheet is available under the Systems Section of our web site or here.

Here's how to read the codes:

H stands for hurricane

The number after is either the code rated psf for Master Wall Systems or the wind design rating for the application.

F means framed construction.

C means concrete or masonry construction.

The last number is the assembly number

Cold Weather Application Strategies

Welcome to fall’s cooler weather!  This month’s bulletin focuses on strategies you will need to consider as we ease into cooler temperatures.  The bulletin is located here.

Other News

We’ve eliminated the following Technical Bulletin:

#135 on Fastening Systems has been replaced by a data sheet located in the adhesive portion of our Products section.  We’ve also added the data sheet to the Aggre-flex, Aggre-flex Drainage and QRW1 Drainage EIFS submittal packages.  You can find the individual data sheet here.

You can view all our bulletins here.

Efflorescence Considerations and Dark Color Strategies

This month Master Wall is publishing two new technical bulletins, but they’re related to each other.

The first one is on efflorescence, why it occurs and what to do about it.  The white efflorescence powder can appear on any cladding that contains Portland cement, but seems to appear more during cooler temperatures.  The bulletin is located here:

As dark colors become more popular the application strategies may need to be reconsidered.  This bulletin contains some good suggestions:
